Halloween at Disneyland

Today I went to Disneyland and had such fun. All the Halloween decorations were so wonderful. Believe it or not, I had never been to Disneyland for Halloween, at least maybe not since I was really little. My husband and I went today because not only were we making plans to go but also it was one of my husband’s employee’s birthday. We started out having breakfast at the Carnation Cafe on Disney’s main street where my husband ate a frittata shaped like Mickey Mouse. Super cute.

After breakfast we started  going on some rides. We started out at Indiana Jones followed by Pirates of Caribbean. After that, my man and I went straight to the Haunted Mansion, which of course was all decked in Halloween decoration, mixed with “Nightmare Before Xmas,” mixed with some of the original decor that you see all year round.

Even though my husband and I went last December where they had the “Nightmare Before Xmas,’ out in full force, the house and ride this time were completely different. Today they did a Halloween narrative about Jack Skellington, his journey, and the rest of  film’s characters. It was exactly like the beginning of the movie and a Xmas bedtime story. Such a fun ride.

After Disneyland, we used our special passes for California Adventure, my first time going there as well. I grew up in California and never had a burning desire to go. I’d rather have spent more time at Disney in the past, but California Adventure was a lot of fun. Walking through, you feel like you’re on an old Hollywood movie set. The attractions were very cool.

Once we were done for the day, we picked up some awesome souveneirs back at Disneyland and ventured back to our car. All in all today was definitely a magical day and I’m glad I got to experience Disneyland during the Halloween season, and especially glad I got to share the day with my most wonderful man.
