Spooky Halloween Preparation OOTD

I don’t do these often but when I do, I like to show everything and do them in a fun way so sometimes you’ll see ootd photos or videos like today. I wanted to do this video to show my spooky sexy outfit for getting my first batch of 2019 Halloween decorations at Michael’s, my home away from home. Here’s my video of my Outfit of the Day.

She’s Glowing

Instead of doing my first Sunday Morning Coffee Chat, which I was planning on doing, I decided to share Aurelio Voltaire, who you should know by now on here. Not only is he an incredible singer, he also does a lot of DIY gothic and spooky home projects. Click his name here in his tag and you’ll see.

I wanted to post and share this song because the song is so beautiful. It is definitely in the rock and goth genre but the way he sings it reminds me a lot of the groups, The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, and other 80’s groups. It also reminds me of the Airbourne Toxic Project. This is one of my favorite songs by Voltaire and definitely listen to it and check out his YouTube channel.

My Favorite Halloween/Gothic/Spooky Channels and Spooky Shows

The first two YouTube channels you need to check out, AFTER YOU CHECK OUT and SUBSCRIBE to MY CHANNEL, we’re recommeded to me by one of my best friends Jordan Giuliani.

792E916B-78E6-49E8-8E80-49DAC65D9BEE

The first YouTube channel recommendation is, “Lair of Voltaire.” He does amazing DIY gothic projects for his lair and for the last two months he’s been checking out stores like Target, JoAnn’s, etc., which has inspired me a lot with his ideas.

The second YouTube channel Jordan recommended to me is called, “Maven of the Eventide,” where she reviews many, many, many vampire books, except maybe “Twilight.” Hahaha. Even if you’re not into Vampires, the way Maven speaks is very dramatic and funny. She puts on a Bela Legosa accent when she introduces her self and it’s so funny. I love her.

The last YouTube channel that I ran into is Ms. Sara Monster! I am obsessed with her. She is so gorgeous and does beauty tips for rock and roll/ goth girls like the perfect black lipstick, how she quickly does her makeup and hair before she goes to work, and reviews products and a lot more. I met her through YouTube and are becoming friends through Instagram. She’s a sweetheart and definitely recommend her.

SHOWS:

“Curious Creations by Christine McConnell” You can watch Christine on Netflix and can see previews of her on her YouTube channel. She makes the coolest spooky inspired food, from starters to mains, to dessert. I’ve been inspired in making some of her delicious delicacies.

BLOGS:

I follow and love many blogs but my favorite spooky DIY blog is “Me and Annabel Lee.” She makes a lot of amazing DIY pieces plus she has a fantastic store that I might be buying from her soon. She also helped me a lot when I became part of the Samhain Society which I’m very grateful for!

My new Halloween Decorations

This is my first official Halloween post. This is the time of year where I get to finally break out the Halloween decorations. Actually last month is when I started pulling them out but what’s the difference. When I know the stores are taking out their seasonal stuff I always tell myself that I will only buy one new Halloween decoration for my collection. Sadly, that never happens.

I do make a lot of Halloween decorations for my home and to sell but I love shopping for Halloween. Even if I go into a store and don’t plan on buying anything, I still enjoy looking. It’s very therapeutic.

Here are just some of my new pieces I picked up for Halloween this year as well as a new decoration that I made. I emphasized some because there is a lot more spooky items in my house that aren’t shown here. This is only the start of my Halloween posts and articles so stay tuned for some fun stuff and enjoy.

I love my new black pumpkins. The spike studded ones are very cool and ‘rock and roll’ and the smaller ones, I will be lighting up underneath with an electric tea light.

IMG_7596

This bronze skull and roses mirror is actually really beautiful and works well with my Snow White evil poison apple spell book.

IMG_7600

This is probably one of my favorite things I bought. I’ve always wanted to get some cool Halloween displays but one that was unique that not everyone would have. This Wasteland Pub light up display was the perfect thing. I love all the details and how it looks when it’s turned on.

IMG_7597

This cool antique style type writer works perfectly in my hall way alongside my golden claw hourglass timer with black sand.

IMG_7602

This top hat skull piece I actually made. I found a wreath that was absolutely destroyed and found the skull piece. I ended up turning the wreath into a small spooky broom. I attached the skull on top, which wasn’t easy, and added some extra glittery jewels to it. I then attached the pumpkin, the rose, and leaves. It doesn’t look perfect but it’s still fun.

All I can say is that this sign is perfect for me, especially if you know me and know what my latest art installation I’m working on is. I love this sign.

IMG_7601

The Witches’s shoe and the “Little Shop of Horrors” plant were the first two new Halloween decorations I bought this for this year. They are both so cute.

I’ve never had a wreath before and this year I decided to finally treat myself to a really cool skeleton one which I’m very happy with.

Make sure to leave a LIKE and COMMENT below if you like to decorate and go all out for Halloween. I’d love to hear what you like to do to celebrate this fun holiday.

Fall Fashion Finesse

Hello everyone. My first Autumn fashion article is a collaboration with one of my favorite girlfriends who runs “LifewithLilRed” aka the wonderful Sarah Mushenheim who I’ve done many  collaborations with, nominated eachother for blog awards, and hopefully will have her feature interview on my site too.

So for our latest collab, we can up with the idea for fall fashion looks we like. Now before you look at these, remember I live in Southern Californian so it’s not super cold here yet. But my two outfits I did a shoot with can be layered for when it gets really cold and into winter. For example, my two looks in a warm dress and the other one consists of shorts but always feel free to adding stockings, long socks like I do, etc. layering is always a good thing.

First Look:

My first fashion look is a staple for me every time it’s this season. I love my red and blue long flannel dress and I love wearing it with shorts and some heavy thigh high socks. I love boots so I’m showing my black short boots with gold sharp studs on them and a gold heel. I rocked my leather shorts which can keep me warm because of the leather and ended this look with a cool rock and roll top underneath my flannel and my music jewelry cause music is life! Enjoy look number one.

Second Look:

My second look I’ve been wanting to show for awhile is my sexy new hoodie dress. It’s the Vixxsin Black Bettie Page zipper dress which comes attached with a beautiful fitted fur hoodie. The detailing on the back is genius and definitely my style or all my eclectic taste such as pinup, rock & roll and a touch of goth. I paired this dress with my thigh high boots which are the sexiest thigh boots I’ve ever owned. But like I said in my first look, you can layer stockings under the boots or if it really cold by you, wearing thick or thermal leggings. Get created! I say that a lot in my articles but it’s true and will save you a lot of money. Thank you for reading this and enjoy my second set.

10 Looks For Summer: Outfit Eight: “Vintage Rock and Roll Music Tops”

Ok you all know that I LOVE MUSIC, especially Rock and Roll and collect concert tees, vintage concert tees from my favorite bands, and even new modern music tees that you can just buy in regular stores. If you’ve been following my site here for a while, you might remember a DIY post I wrote a few years ago titled, “Getting Creative with Concert T-Shirts,” where I show you had to transform your concert tees into different rent looks by cutting them, tying them, taking extra large shirts and turning them into dresses, and more. Here’s the link below in case you haven’t seen it.

     https://bombshell2016.blog/2016/01/07/getting-creative-with-concert-t-shirts/

In this summer inspired look, I took one of my music shirts and instead of pairing it with a pair of jeans or shorts, I dressed it up a bit to show that you can dress up and casual top, especially if it’s a rock and roll/music top. Here I show my favorite Beatles top and paired it with a classic blazer since the weather is starting to finally get a little cooler, slowly but I’ll take it. I paired my cool “The Beatles” top, which is my all time favorite band by the way, with my silver silk pants. I love these pants because you can wear them long or pull them up a little bit so they have a more Capri silhouette In these photos I pulled them up to show of my gold spiked ankle boots with my seven inch gold heels. I love these and who says you can’t pair gold and silver together? I topped my look with my black sequined scarf around my neck that my husband bought me on our very first vacation we took together to New York after dating a year.

I’ve known Brian for years and we used to work together a bit. He is great at cosplay and graphic photo editing. I asked him if he could edit one of my photos to give it a comic feel and he used one if poison ivy pics, of course, and made thus incredible moving psychedelic art creation. Big shoutout to him and check out his Instagram at @cosplaynowand forever and his Facebook under Brian Sikoff.  Also I linked my moving Poison Ivy edit in my Facebook page so check that out too!!! https://www.instagram.com/cosplaynowandforever
