Bésame Cosmetics

As someone who loves Glam, Old Hollywood, Vintage, and makeup, the fact that I hadn’t tried this brand sooner is astounding to me. The moment I found their site and then researched what they are about, I fell in love.

Bésame Cosmetics actually recreates and reproduces classic vintage style makeup, from the intricate detailing and gold in the packaging to the variety of colors and shade names, which was a beautiful thing for me to discover.

The whole concept behind this brand is also beautiful. The cosmetic reproductions are from the 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s and are all about empowering yourself in the elegant way that women empowered themselves and made themselves feel glamorous and gorgeous during those decades. Bésame Cosmetics has also been featured in films which you can read more about on their site.

I decided to try a classic red and a nude lipstick as well as the lavender violet brightening powder and I was surprised by the results. The packaging was classic vintage and very gilded and glamorous. The red  lipstick is classic “American Beauty,” which is a absolutely stunning color of red as a lipstick and lipliner. How the lipsticks is shaped, you can use the edge as a liner.

The beautiful nude shade I tried is, “Portrait Peach,” and it works just as well as my red lippie and liner. If you try this brand, these are the two classic vintage lipstick colors.

The violent lavender powder immediately caught my eye and I’m so glad it did! The fabulous powder works wonders on color correcting and brightening you skin. And you can use it all over. I love it just a much, or maybe a hair more than the Laura Mercier brightening powder which I love so much and use everyday.

Make sure to check out BesameCosmetics.com and go and personalize your own classic Hollywood vintage look. My friend RetroDee, (which go follow her blog also) would love this! Enjoy and please let me know your feedback!

Spooky Halloween Preparation OOTD

I don’t do these often but when I do, I like to show everything and do them in a fun way so sometimes you’ll see ootd photos or videos like today. I wanted to do this video to show my spooky sexy outfit for getting my first batch of 2019 Halloween decorations at Michael’s, my home away from home. Here’s my video of my Outfit of the Day.

Wig Collaboration with Peggy Stone Pinup

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve done a shoot, an article write-up or shot a video for my channel, but it’s because I’ve had a lot of stuff going on in my life and it’s been chaotic. But with that said, I’m back! Yay!

Here’s another sexy and beautiful collab with my pinup sister, Peggy Stone. She’s such a doll. Her and I both love wearing wigs and have a fun wig collection so we decided to do a double shot wig collaboration. While she donned a beautiful teal blue mermaid fantasy wig, I wore my new pink Paige boy wig which I hadn’t worn yet except in my last video where I reviewed Beauty Bakerie for my YouTube channel.

Between the two of us, we look like a beautiful vintage swirl of cotton candy. I hope you enjoy our photos here and stay tuned for more wig shots from both of us and much more content. Wishing you all a great week and see you soon.

Bettie Page Collaboration with Peggy Stone, Part 1

I met Peggy Stone earlier this year. Actually I think I met her at the end of last year and we immediately hit it off. First reason was we are both published pinup models and actually have a spread in Passion Pinup’s Magazine right next to each other which was definitely kismet. The other most important thing Peggy and I have in common is that Bettie Page is both our Pinup Vintage Icon! I wish I still had my picture from high school where I was dressed like Bettie for Halloween.

It’s amazing how much Peggy and I have in common, such as her man takes a lot of her model shots like my husband does for me sometimes. I’ve even given and sold her some of my Bettie memorabilia like the matching flasks which you’ll see in part 2. We are definitely Pinup sisters.

Peggy and I text almost everyday and I love our friendship. She says I’m her big sis, even though she’s not that much younger than me, haha, and she’s my baby pinup sis. I hope she comes to California soon.

For this collaboration, we decided to do a Bettie Page double shoot. Duh! Haha! Bettie Page was such a natural beauty. She didn’t just do lingerie and fetish shoots but also more “Cheesecake Pinup” shots which I show here in my cherry looks. 🍒 For my hair, I did a beautiful wet set waves and since my Bettie bangs are grown out, I found my clip on Bettie Bangs.

Bettie was such a natural beauty. She didn’t fuss with a lot of eyeliner or heavy makeup. She just wore powder, mascara, and of course red lip stick, which I recreated in my photo sets. Here are a few of my cherry cheesecake photos but stay tuned for part 2 of this to see more sexy photos of my baby sis Peggy and me! Make sure to watch out for our matching flasks!

50 Dollar Fashion and Style

I’ve decided to start going to shops, mostly local shops in my area to find outfits the are stylish and fashionable for fifty dollars and under. My husband actually came up with this idea which I thought was so cute and even though many others have done similar things, I plan on putting my vintage and rock spin onto it.

I haven’t decided yet it I’m going to do this every week or every two weeks but I think this will be fun. My goal is to find full or mostly full outfits for under fifty dollars to show as inspiration to everyone who feels that they have to spend loads of money to be able to showcase their fashion and unique style. Every thing I show off here is something that is my style and/or that I would wear.

I was going to one of my favorite local vintage shops but they were closed for the day. Instead I started with Target. I know Target isn’t a unique store but I thought it would be cool to include Target in my list of fifty dollar fashion since Target is an extremely popular chain that everyone has access to in their area.

The first thing that my eyes immediately went to was a pair of these cheetah print jeans. Animal print and me? Duh! Haha They cost $28.00.

The next thing I spotted was a super cute black and red (my favorite color combo) Game of Thrones “Where are My Dragons” top for $14.00. I love that show and the “Mother of Dragons” is probably my favorite character. The next item I spotted was in the jewelry section which was near where I found both the pants and top. The next item I looked for was a cute pair of shoes to complete this look. To be perfectly honest, I really didn’t see anything that I would wear or that would go with this outfit but they did have a lot of styles that you might like to try in your Target locations so please don’t be discouraged that I didn’t find anything in the store location I went to. A lot of them were on sale as well. Instead I went to the jewelry section which was near where I found the pants and top. There I found this punk rock red “Rocky Horror” style lips necklace. It only was $6.00 so I had to get it.

After the items I found, my total plus tax was literally $50.00 so it was perfect.

I hope you all liked what I chose and also the start of something new that I’m going to be doing for Bombshell.

Issue 9, Spring Passion Pinups

The Spring Issue of Passion Pinups Is finally here and I’m so happy that I got featured again. You can see my name and what page number 28. wink wink. The first issue I did for Passion Pinups was the winter holiday issue last year which featured me on the front cover. I loved being on the front. If you haven’t seen my holiday winter issue last year definitely check it out here. And I’m excited to report that I have my photo in the centerfold of this issue.

I’ve become good friends with Chrissy( Kittens) Blake, the creator of Passion and I’ve told everyone on here how sweet she is. She know’s I’m an artist so you asked if I could send her a few photos of my pieces because she wanted to feature and  showcase my art which I thought that was so cool of her. I ended up sending her a print two of my new deck that I just created, images from my latest Victorian Steampunk jewelry/trinket box, and an oval creation that I loved making and have hanging in my vanity area That’s just a couple of the many reasons why I enjoy being part of Passion Pinups.

Here are some of my spring photos, you might recognize some of fascinators from my wonderful friend Debra Shirley because I used her floral  but they were perfect for spring. I hope you enjoy the little teaser.

Glamorous and Rock and Roll Book Recommendations

I love going to book shops. I don’t like kindle very much. Especially for certain books of mine, I like to dog ear chapters or pages that I know will help me a lot. Anyways, I went through my book collection and I wanted to share some recommendations if you who want to get into burlesque, want to read on how to create vintage, besides, pinup looks, for beginners or even if you’re not a beginner, all these books have great writing, great tips and ideas, detailed instructions on how to create the different hair and makeup looks, get some Rock and Roll tips and stories, and more.
