Weekend Fashion and Style

I went to go see the movie, “The Nun” yesterday, which by the way was good and very scary, and my husband and I both loved what I wore yesterday on our movie date and took some photos of my look. I was in a very artsy and bohemian mood, and enjoyed wearing my sexy leather shorts with a simple black tank top and my velvet floral kimono shawl. I paired it with my cute floppy hat and tortoise shell sunglasses. I finished my look off with my Valentino black and gold studded heels, my quilted classic Chanel Purse, some cute bangles, my gold pearl drop earrings from my friend Kirsty and my Edgar Allan Poe necklace made by my other friend Luna.

I love the mix of the color and black and white photos my man took and I felt like I was sitting in one of my favorite cafes in San Francisco. I really enjoyed this fun outfit of mine as well as my really fun day.

10 Looks For Summer: Outfit Nine: “Universal Monster Look”

I love mixing my pinup/rockabilly style with my horror inspired pieces. Since it’s almost Autumn, I wanted my last two summer outfits to look like that they can work during the summer as well as in the fall when it starts to look cooler. For this outfit, you can definitely still rock it in cold weather, you just need to layer a jacket or sweater over it. This outfit is very versatile.

I know this universal monster print can be found anywhere now BUT I was one of the VERY FIRST BUYERS for this material about fifteen years ago and got it from the first company that used this print so I feel extra special. I loved pairing it with my black crop top decorated with my brand new HOCUS POCUS pendant from my girl, LunaMoon. I’ve known here a long time now and love her!

For the finishing touches, I wore this outfit in my cute Bettie Page heels and my fabulous unique strawberry flower hair clip. Hope you like this look and can inspire you in some of your looks and like I said before, this outfit can still be worn during cooler weather, just find a fabulous and/or sexy coat to keep your beauty toasty warm.

10 Looks for Summer: Outfit Seven: “Pantsuits and Playsuits”

I love pantsuits and playsuits. I love wearing dressy ones of certain occasions and I love wearing more casual ones for everyday use. We are in August where it’s starting to slightly cool off but it’s still very warm by me, so this gray blue and white striped Capri pantsuit is perfect for me.

Because of the stripes, I had a nautical theme going on here with my two red and white striped anchor bows, matching high heels, and red cat eye sunglasses.

The best part of this outfit is the cute cutouts it entails. There’s two zippers in the back which shows part of your back off which is very cool but my favorite detailing are the two side cutouts where I can show my waist and my cool ink.

Check out my pictures here before going out for grocery shopping and other errands. Thank you and enjoy!

10 Looks for Summer: Outfit Six: “Fruit Prints.”

I love wearing fruit prints, (cherries, strawberries, PINEAPPLES, etc.” especially during the summer. I also have decorated my kitchen with fruit and food accessories as well. I found this long fun pineapple tunic which can be worn as a cute cover up or a mini dress. I love the yellow tassles on the side. It’s a little eccentric and definitely unique and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!  I wore my bright yellow eyeshadow from my “As If” Colourpop palette, and my new purple hair flower with a bright yellow pineapple that I got from BooKittyAccessories (bookitty.shop) which I found on her Instagram. She sells really cute things.

I loved taking these photos yesterday. I borrowed my husband’s sunglasses for a few shots but didn’t wear sunglasses mostly so I can show my bright yellow makeup and theme. I had to wear little shorts underneath since there were some people around but you can definitely wear a long top like this with cute bathing suit bottoms (as long as their not a thong) or anything you want. I also rocked my black heels from Bettie Page Shoes. It was a fun mini shoot and the setting was perfect with the bright colors and floral background. Hope you enjoy and thank you Boo Kitty for my gorgeous purple pineapple flower.

10 Looks For Summer: Outfit Five, Mermaid Fantasy

5A540E88-9C06-4F08-A84E-0DEE06D9DB84

For some reason my Mermaid Outfit Article from this morning got deleted by accident. No worries though. I have now problem reposting my Mermaid Fantasy Outfit.

C54791ED-896E-47B1-8476-7284E11B8F46

First of I’ll begin saying that yes, there was a craze in the beauty community and now a few makeup gurus feel that unicorns and mermaids are not trendy anymore since last year. That’s so stupid to me. I love mermaids and the aquatic. That’s what I based my fifth outfit on. I wore my iridescent mermaid scale dress that I wore to L.A Dragcon so I can look very “fish.” I wasn’t going to buy that dress just for one convention so I enjoy wearing it everyday. I love my mermaid skater dress and it’s nice and cool and perfect for the scorching heat.  Today’s makeup is my normal vintage pinup eyes and pink lipstick topped with “Elemental” from Magic Monster’s Cosmetics.

To turn my mermaid look into a clear blue oceanic fantasy, I donned my new deep burgundy red velvet page boy hat. As with my jewelry, I wore my abalone earrings and matching bracelet. The best part was my beautiful purple swarovski crystal fish ring that I got with my mom at the MONTAGE hotel in Beverly Hills. I then of course wore my purple pearlized IRON FIST shell wedge heels. The finishing touch was me holding up my iphone cover with my liquid and glitter water.

I loved wearing this outfit! Don’t be afraid to have a fun theme in your fashion, especially if it’s a colorful one in the summer.

10 Looks for Summer: Outfit Four “All Eyes on You.”

Today it was 104 degrees were I was today. I was in the San Fernando Valley to have a doctor’s appointment with my mom as well as my mom which was nice since we got together.

I knew it was going to scorching hot today so I donned my spaghetti strap “Batty Eye” dress from Sourpuss Clothing. I wore my studded stilettos again and wore my crystals in my right hand with with iridescent beetle earrings, emeral jewelry. I also rocked my pink and green jeweled cat eyed sunglasses again and I still love them. The finishing touch were my “Victory Roll Swirl hairdo with my lily spider flower clip.

This outfit was perfect for this horrible heat today as well as a cute dinner outfit at my favorite Italian restaurant, “Buen Gusto.” I went with my mom who is my bff besides my husband. Winks, and we had a very nice time. It was fun taking pictures in there and having some Procesco to go with the sign above when I’m sitting down.

Love me some Lily LolliePop

IMG_6747

I’ve known and been friends with the cutie that is Lily for a few years now and I love her. I met her through Instagram and her style and look immediately drew me to her. On her page, she sells really cute and unique fashion accessories, and more. You guys know that I love getting unique and creative pieces that can’t be found everywhere so I always enjoyed going through her page. The first thing I got from her were my fantastic, “Cross your heart and hope to die, stick a needle in your eye” sunglasses which I still treasure. I’ve also gotten some sexy Rocky Horror lips earrings, a spider ear cuff, a beautiful rose choker, and more which I included a pic of those certain items below.

Besides the cool stuff she carries, I love that Lily and I developed a really cool friendship and we have so many things in common and have the similar sense of humor and style. She is a very kind and sweet lady and I’m so glad I met her.

IMG_6746

Here’s a little info on Lily and how she got started with selling on her Instagram which is @_lilylolliepop_ , as well as her likes and interests. Definitely check out her page.

” I got started right after I got pregnant with my oldest son who is now five! I’ve been selling jewelry and accessories since then. I just couldn’t just stay at home and do anything after working full-time everyday and I wanted to make a little extra money somehow. What interested me was unique and different things that you don’t see everywhere. I love all that is unique and creepy! What interested me is horror and Halloween is my favorite holiday.

My favorite things are to hang out with my friends, go to shows, and I love putting on makeup everyday. It’s not just makeup, it’s art! My favorite movies are Friday the 13th, House of 1000 Corpses, the original IT, and the Notebook (haha).” -Lily

I told you all that Lily and I have a lot in common and have similar tastes. Haha!

My latest gift from her are some fierce and sexy diamond red lipstick earrings that came with a matching double red lipstick ring. They say Mac and Lipstick Lover on them and are very well made and not heavy to wear. Here are some shots of them and me wearing my new jewelry.

10 Looks for Summer: Number Three, Girlie Girl in Jeans and a Tank Top

A tank top and jeans is always a cute go to, especially during the summer time but I like to add a little extra flare to this look. I rolled and cuffed up my jeans like any good rockabilly gal and wanted to be pretty in pink in my cute barbie pink heart Trixie Mattel tank top. If your tank is a little big, pair it with a pretty lacy bra or thin camisole (that will still keep you cool) to give a little sexy but tasteful edge. It also dresses up the outfit a bit more as well do some big high heels or stilettos. I sported my new pair of HUGE flamingo pink and green- jeweled cat-eyed sunglasses. I love them and they are so fun as well as protect my peepers from the sun.

To give your look more glamour, wear some beautiful jewelry with it. Here I wore a beautiful shell heart bracelet to go with my hearts on my top and my finishing touch were some beautiful pearl drop, vintage-inspired chandelier earrings that I just got as a gift from my girl Kirsty Giuliani that she made. Thank you girlie, I am I love with them!

Pins and Brooches

Good Morning fabulous friends and followers. I’m up early to get ready for a fun day at Universal Studios Hollywood. I’m going with my husband of course and two of my best friends and darling couple, Kirsty and Jordan Giuliani. I’ve written about them before as well as working with Jordan in front of and behind the camera lens.

Since I’m going to a theme park today, I’m bringing one of my small purses with me that is decorated with some of my fun brooches and pins and wanted to show them off. Since we talk a lot about fashion, style, and adding your own personal touches and uniqueness to your looks, I thought it was fitting to show off some of my pins from my collections. Brooches and pins are a real easy way to personalize your stuff and add a little extra pizazz to your outfit. I love putting them on coats, handbags (the non-expensive handbags of course), top and bottom pieces, and more. If you are a creative person, you can make your own and find supplies at places like Michael’s or if you don’t want to do that, you can find really cool pins at many places as well as online. I love collecting them from concerts, events, (such as drag con) amusement parks, etc. I love finding vintage inspired brooches and also collecting fancier ones with Swarovski crystals and jewels. (Since I’ll be at a theme park all day, I think I’ll leave my more rare and expensive pieces at home.) I think that pins and brooches are extra special also when they are handmade.

They are just a fun and easy way to spice up your wardrobe and life. Here are the ones that I’m wearing today with my very appropriate Classic Hollywood Universal Monster cross body purse. I also included where I got this group of pins as well so you can check them out.

10 Looks for Summer: Number One, Backless Cut Out Octopus Dress

Since it’s been a sweltering summer, which is not my favorite weather, I decided to post some new summer looks that I’ve been wearing this summer. I chose to do ten. Some of my outfits are definitely more unique than others, and are meant to inspire and give you ideas into creating your own fun summer looks whether it’s the clothes or even just the accessories. It’s fashion and it’s supposed to be fun.

My first summer outfit is my new backless octopus dress. I loved the bright colors of it and enjoyed showing it off with my new sexy spiked heels, my new pair of abalone earrings, a mint green flower, and my kraken parasol. By the way, even though the sun wasn’t super bright in these photos, it was extremely humid which doesn’t happen often by me since I’m close to the ocean. Hope you enjoy this fun look and if you have any questions about this outfit, please feel free to ask and/or comment below.
