Sunday Morning Coffee Chat: Enjoying the Morning and Ridding Yourself of Negativity

IMG_9194

Good morning everyone, here’s another Sunday Morning Coffee Chat article for you all. I woke about an hour ago, got out of bed, put back on my rainbow onesie, made sure my beautiful snake plants had enough water, and poured my cup of coffee.

Lately I’ve been feeling very stressed out, so much that my panic attacks and anxiety having been recurring. It’s definitely not fun. However in the last week, I’ve been making a more conscious effort to not let the anxiety get to me, at least not so severely.  For people who suffer from panic and anxiety can definitely relate.

I’m drinking my iced caramel vanilla coffee in my sweet unicorn cup of stars. By the way, if you have or find a cup with stars on it, that’s a good luck omen. Especially if it has a cute unicorn attached to it. The phrase “cup of stars” or “her cup of stars,” got well known in the recent show, “The Haunting of Hill House,” but it was used to trap negative spirits. I only feel positive energy when I drink out of it tho. As I’m drinking out of it, I’m looking outside my balcony as the sun is coming up and I instantly fell a sense and feeling of calmness and peace. I took some deep breaths and starting thinking that everything is ok and everything is not as bad and catastrophic as I think things are in my head. Like I said before, I’m not constantly having anxiety attacks but because there is a lot of overwhelming things happening at once, triggered me into going into panic mode.

There are many ways to help calm you down from anxiety but the easiest thing, at least for me to do is to write out an affirmation such as, “I will not have anxiety today,” and every time you wake up in the morning and see it, read your affirmation out loud nine times everyday. This is an actual simple spell that I learned about a few years ago that is very effective. Once you start reaffirming yourself on a daily basis, your anxiety, panic, and negative thoughts will dissipate. Do that along with taking time for yourself to look outside or sit there without thinking about anything and just breathing, will help your body and mind so much.

The point of this article is to help anyone in a negative head space, get out of it. It won’t happen overnight but if you make a conscious effort, as hard as that can be, you will feel so much more positive in your life.

I hope you all enjoyed this “Sunday Morning Coffee Chat” If you suffer from any anxiety or negativity and have your own ways on how to deal with it, please feel free to leave them in the comment section below. With that said, I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and a wonderful week.

November Tips and Tricks

It’s been awhile since I posted a “Tips and Tricks” article so here’s some new things to try out for this month.

1. If your cuticles are constantly dry, especially since the weather is getting cooler, or if you have a tendency to get hangnails and you can’t go get a manicure as often as you want, a pair of cotton gloves and cuticle oil will help you out. You can get a pair at the drug store and apply some cuticle oil to your nails and around them and up your fingers. (I use citrus scented with real flowers inside.) When you’re finished, put on your gloves and let the oil soak into your nails and skin for atleast an hour. Your skin and cuticles will feel so much better after.

2. If you get headaches a lot or have a massive migraine but don’t want to take a lot of medicine, apply a tiny bit of peppermint oil to your temples and a drop on your forehead. Massage oil gently into your skin. In a couple of minutes, the oil and it’s aromatic healing properties will help that head pain disappear.

3. Here’s another essential oil tip. I love using essential oils for both their magical and healing properties. If you’re feeling stressed or anxious, take a few drops of lavender oil and apply a drop to both of their wrists. Also place a drop on your chest. Massage in. Lavender provides, peace and calmness . Just breathe in the delicious fragrance and it will help calm you down.

4. If you want to wear highlighter but don’t want to spend money on a highlighter pan because you don’t know if you’ll like it or just don’t want to spend extra cash on one, using eyeshadow that is a shimmer will give your face and specifically your cheek bones a lovely glow. Some good shadows that I like to play around with include Sugarpill’s “Wink” and Storybook Cosmetics Wizard and Wizardry, “Jinx” and “Bewitched.” Pressed shimmer shadows work best. If you want a more intense highlight, a pressed glitter shadow will let you achieve that look.

5. This is probably the most important and helpful tip and trick on here!

If you find yourself really hot and sweating a lot, pouring a little ice cold water on your wrist will cool down the blood and stop your sweating and hot flashes. An ice cube will do the same thing. This trick also works if you’re having an ANXIETY or PANIC attack. The coldness will help STOP them dead in their tracks.

Hope these tips and tricks help you out or just make your life a little easier.

Sending love to you all. 💝🍒

Sunday Morning Coffee Chat

IMG_7019

Some of you know may not know that I collect coffee mugs. I’ve been buying unique and fun mugs for many years and I enjoy doing it.  With that said, I wanted to start today off with my Pink Octopus mug by wishing everyone a good morning and a wonderful week.

This morning’s topic I wanted to talk about is ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS!

I also wanted to talk about a few things that I’ve never mentioned here before. I know that we all tend to have chaotic events and craziness in different parts of our lives that sometimes are too intense for us to deal which can cause MAJOR ANXIETY and/or PANIC ATTACKS.  That usually means that we need to give ourselves a break. The reason why I wanted to write about this is because I suffer from both of those things a lot of the time. I’m dealing with A LOT of craziness right now, mainly because I’m dealing with people in my family, health issues, and just stuff that is very overwhelming and causes my anxiety to kick in overdrive. For me personally, because everything seems crazier than usual I realized how important and healthy it is to take some time for yourself to decompress and get your mind clear of any chaos. I know it’s easier said than done but I myself am trying to be more positive and to not have my anxiety kick in when everything seems like it hits you at once.

If you’re feeling that you need a break from the everyday craziness, stop what you’re doing, take deep breaths, close your eyes if you want, and breathe in and out slowly. While doing this, either clear your mind of any kind of negativity, and focus on your breath or think of things that make you feel happy. It may sound obvious and cheesy but it actually does help. Also because anxiety attacks can cause you to feel extra warm, drinking cold water or putting an ice pack on the back of your neck helps you and your body feel back to normal faster.

Oh and when I say that you should take a break, that doesn’t mean doing a bunch of other things besides what you were in the middle of. It’s better sometimes to just not do anything. Also if you don’t give yourself a break and time to yourself, you’ll end up feeling drained. Your body reacts to how you’re feeling emotionally which can cause you to make yourself sick or achy because you’re burning the candle at both ends without taking the time to care about your own well-being. You always need to take care of yourself first before anyone else. Usually If you don’t, you’re eventually going to blow up which is never a good thing. Whenever I feel that way, I drop what I’m doing if I can and sit or stand peacefully while taking slow deep breaths and try to find your “center or balance.” Again I know this sounds like the obvious but I’m talking about things that personally help me that can maybe help others.

I hope you enjoyed this morning coffee post and thank you for reading it. If you suffer from any kind of stress or anxiety, I hope this helped. Another huge reason why I wanted to touch on this area was not just because it’s what I’m going through, but because I know many people who have anxiety feel like they’re alone or they don’t want to tell anyone how they feel because they’re embarrassed or that there is a stigma about it. If you experience anxiety or anything like that, always remember that you’re not alone in this world.
