I’ve loved Bettie Page since I was little. She is my icon and always thought she was so effortlessly beautiful no matter what she looked like. I collected her postcards, books, collectibles, and even have some of her rare vintage black and white photo proofs that weren’t ever for sale when she modeled. I even dressed up like her for Halloween one year in high school.

  Recently the awesome and talented tattooist and artist Dirk Vermin had a contest to give away two of his Bettie Page comic books he created awhile back. When I saw this, I had to immediately enter the contest. I knew Dirk from his old t.v show and started talking and chatting with him online not too long ago and he’s a very cool and nice guy. I was definitely determined to be one of the comic contest winners.

My Bettie Page Fetish Comix just came in the mail a few days ago and I absolutely love them! Besides the amazing art work, I love how Dirk combined Bettie with some of my favorite actors, actresses, and musicians such as Tura Satana, Iggy Pop,  Julie Newmar, Groucho Marx, Bela Legosi, and much more. I thought it was a brilliant concept.

                                                                      Art, Bettie Page, Sex, Fetish, and music…… how can you go wrong? It’s everything I love. The story lines are brilliant and all work well together. Also as an artist myself, I appreciate Dirk’s creativity and vision.
