Stories Behind my Handbags

If you go way back on my youtube channel,  I did a few videos of my handbag collection. Since then, my collection has changed and I have both new and also the some of the same purses you might have seen in the past videos. Instead of doing another handbag collection tour,  I decided to separate them in five different sections. I wanted to do this so I can better explain why I like collecting purses and hand bags so much as well as my own personal stories behind each purse.

The point of doing this is that you don’t have to have a lot of money to have beautiful purses and accessories. Even though I show two of my designer bags in one of the five sections, I never brag about the prices of anything, that’s how I was raised, and you’ll also see that most of my handbags I post aren’t all luxury designer.

1. Classic Timeless Handbags that will LAST FOREVER:

Luxury brands that  I have include Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Coach, etc. and I will cherish bags always. Even thought they were expensive, the price was worth it because these brands that make these handbags create them so they will never fall apart.

2. Vintage/Pinup?Rockabilly Purses: I love my brands like Sourpuss, Lux de Ville because they complete a gorgeous pinup and burlesque look. They are also very fashionable with everyday clothes. I remember getting my first Sourpuss purse that was giving to me for, which was amazing, at a tattoo convention I modeled at years ago in Philly. I still have that bag and cherish it. You all know I love Sourpuss clothing in general and I love the actual vinyl car interior look of my stunning Lux De Ville’ purses. I also love my Kreepsville666 pink skull purse I got for free for doing a modeling shoot for them. I love my Pinup bags.

3. Sentimental: I have purses and handbags that  I use  and will never give away such as the small red leather croc Brighton heart shaped purse I asked if I could have that as my college graduation gift. My daddy is that greatest man on earth and didn’t hesitate. I also love my ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Bettie Paige purse that my hubby bought me, spur of the moment when we stopped at Peggy Sue’s Diner on the way back from Las Vegas. I love him so much and he knew it was the perfect purse for me. One other of my most sentimental purses I own was giving to me my mommy. I have always loved Betsey Johnson fashion and my mommy gave me her very soft leopard print Betsey Johnson of New York purse on the way to New York for New Year’s years ago.

4. Evening Bags:  I have some beautiful evening bags for a beautiful night out where I don’t need to bring everything with me. My two favorites are my small “LADY GAGA, BAD ROMANCE” looking clutch which holds my Iphone, a credit card, my id, and a lipstick. I don’t need anything else. My other favorite evening bag is more vintage and was passed on to me by my mommy and it’s till in fabulous shape. It’s black and has both gold and silver jeweled slashes across which makes it my ultimate favorite and sentimental evening bag with another story behind it.

5. Purse Accessories:  I know I have touched on this before but I always recommend getting a little card holder or even a slim cigarette holder to keep your id, one card for emergencies, and a little cash. I love my coach id holder from my Aunt Linda.

See, I told you the majority of my handbags have sentimental value to them, even the accessories, and most of them all have stories behind them. I hope you enjoyed this fun look at my handbags, my favorite fashion accessory to collect, and the sentimental stories behind them.  In fashion, anything sentimental is always the best thing.

CoCo Chanel

Her name was Gabrielle, her nickname was Mademoiselle but she will always be known as CoCo. By transforming practically into an aesthetic, she set women free and invented a style that both utterly personal and universally recognized.

Elegance means being beautiful both on the inside and outside.

Mademoiselle Chanel was first inspired to create a shoulder bag, thus freeing women’s hands and radically changing their allure. (That idea works perfect on me with my hand bag collection.)

Like I said above, I love handbags, not just Chanel but many brands and styles. You’ve seen my purse collection.

With it’s quilted effect which was inspired by stable boy jackets, ely lids through the bag so the chain strap can pass and move., golden turn lock closer, the logo, double CC, top-stitched  in to the lining, and perfect proportions, the CHANEL BAG WAS DESTINED TO BECOME A LEGEND.

I thought this was so amazing Coco’s inspiration for creating her very first Chanel bag. I’ve always grown up and loved fashion no matter what style or fashion I was wearing and I always admired the fashion.

Also besides my Chanel bags, I have other Coco Chanel art work that I treasure.

The first piece I want to show is my Vinyl Black Lips Surfer Girl. Black shiny lips and Kate Moss’s lips.

I also have original early sketches and art work done by CoCo and Chanel.

Hope you enjoy and definitely research into her, her fashion life, and her real life.

Weekend Fashion and Style

I went to go see the movie, “The Nun” yesterday, which by the way was good and very scary, and my husband and I both loved what I wore yesterday on our movie date and took some photos of my look. I was in a very artsy and bohemian mood, and enjoyed wearing my sexy leather shorts with a simple black tank top and my velvet floral kimono shawl. I paired it with my cute floppy hat and tortoise shell sunglasses. I finished my look off with my Valentino black and gold studded heels, my quilted classic Chanel Purse, some cute bangles, my gold pearl drop earrings from my friend Kirsty and my Edgar Allan Poe necklace made by my other friend Luna.

I love the mix of the color and black and white photos my man took and I felt like I was sitting in one of my favorite cafes in San Francisco. I really enjoyed this fun outfit of mine as well as my really fun day.

The Power of Lipstick, the Glossy Rainbow Edition

Here’s my last installment of my “Power of Lipstick” Trilogy. I’m ending this last lipstick part with my favorite colors that are more on the edgy side but are still hot, fun, and beautiful to wear.

It was hard for me to choose which colors I wanted to show here but here are my top faves:

1. “Savage” (mega matte,) Vice lipstick by Urban Decay- This bright pink lipstick is hot hot hot. I love wearing this lipstick, especially when I do a colorful look, a hot psychobilly look, or just for fun. The Urban Decay VICE formula is one of my favorite lip formulas and I definitely recommend checking them out. I also use the matching Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on lipliner in “Frenemy”

2. “Twitch” (cream) Vice lipstick by Urban Decay- I love this beautiful purple color. It’s not too dark, it’s not too light. It’s the perfect purple lipstick. With this color, I don’t wear lip liner all the time but when I do, I use  Urban Decay 24/7 glide on lipliner in”Pandemonium.”

3. “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” Velour liquid lipstick from Jeffree Star Cosmetics- last year I did a “Breakfast at Tiffany’s shoot and the last few photos I had shot, I put this lipstick on. I thought it would be fun and those pictures looked really cool with it on. One of my favorite films, if not my favorite of all time is “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” and I love how this lipstick is the exact shade of Tiffany’s bags and box packaging. If you haven’t seen my Breakfast at Tiffany’s shoot, definitely check it out here.

4. “Venus Flytrap” Velour liquid lipstick from Jeffree Star Cosmetics (Chrome Collection)- I’ve used this fabulous green chartreuse color many times A LOT in makeup tutorials and looks. Some might think how or why would you wear this color but that’s just because you’re unique, like to stand out, and are fabulous.

5. “Trinket” liquid lip color by Sugarpill- In my December Hits/Misses youtube video, I talked about buying and wearing this color and it was definitely a HIT for me. If you haven’t done so already, please go check that youtube vid out on my youtube channel and I posted it here in December as well. “Trinket” is  Sugarpill’s very first liquid lipstick, and has a sexy Matte to Sparkle formula. The color is a matte mauve infused with luminous golden sparkles that stay and become more bright as the formula dries. I love the pigment and how it is very long-lasting and never feels too dry.

Most of you know I rarely wear lip gloss on a daily basis but the I do have few that I absolutely love wearing, either by itself on top of regular lipstick.

Here are my favorite glosses and toppers:

1. “Melted Honey” by Chanel- This sparkly gold gloss is so sexy and looks very sexy on when worn alone. It also looks hot when you have a lipstick on already, like a dark red or purple, and then apply the gloss in just the center of your lips.

2. “Rose Gold” lip topper by Jouer Cosmetics- Jouer has the best lip toppers. My Rose Gold is stunning and again very sexy. The glitter and color is very pigmented and doesn’t feel sticky. It smells yummy too, like caramel. Like with my Chanel gloss, this lip topper looks wickedly sexy alone or on top of lipstick.

Hope you enjoyed reading my list of lipsticks and my reviews on them. I definitely recommend checking out every color I speak about in all three parts of my “Power of Lipstick” series. Thank you so much.
