10 Looks for Summer: Outfit Seven: “Pantsuits and Playsuits”

I love pantsuits and playsuits. I love wearing dressy ones of certain occasions and I love wearing more casual ones for everyday use. We are in August where it’s starting to slightly cool off but it’s still very warm by me, so this gray blue and white striped Capri pantsuit is perfect for me.

Because of the stripes, I had a nautical theme going on here with my two red and white striped anchor bows, matching high heels, and red cat eye sunglasses.

The best part of this outfit is the cute cutouts it entails. There’s two zippers in the back which shows part of your back off which is very cool but my favorite detailing are the two side cutouts where I can show my waist and my cool ink.

Check out my pictures here before going out for grocery shopping and other errands. Thank you and enjoy!

Sunday/Thursday Morning Coffee Chat, “Giving Zero F*cks”

359D7C86-34E8-4E17-BE9C-E469167D4F82

I know I was supposed to post this topic this past Sunday but for personal reasons I couldn’t, so I’m making it up this morning with my cold Frappachino bottle and talking about “giving zero fucks.”

I chose this topic because when I was younger, I definitely cared about what certain people and friends thought of me. By the time I reached my early 20’s I started caring less and less what anyone thought of me or if they disagreed with my opinions. I could’ve cared less. Unless it was my hubby’s opinion, haha. Wink wink!

During those college years, I started realizing that after highschool, it’s not a popularity contest and no one gives a fuck how cool you were in highschool!

I actually have a tattoo, my first word one, that says, “This is Life, not Heaven,  you don’t have to be Perfect!,” which is what I live by.  As long as my family and loved ones are happy, I’m happy!

My biggest advice to especially younger people or to anyone is to not care what anyone thinks about you.  Here’s a good book that I just got and already love that I recommend checking out.

Breaking the Rules of Style: Pinup/Rockabilly

I just finished filming my latest video because I’ve had girls reach out to me recently saying that they are getting into the Rockabilly/Pinup style but are feeling discouraged and not confident because they feel that they aren’t styling themselves the right way or other people are telling them that they’re not dressing or doing their makeup the correct way and that they don’t look like how a Pinup Girl should look. I THINK THAT IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND UNACCEPTABLE because the Pinup and Rockabilly Community is such a positive one and being a Pinup is all about having confidence and feeling beautiful and no one should ever put people down or tell them that they aren’t looking the right way.

In this video, I definitely give my opinions on the situation and clear up a few things and misconceptions. Enjoy and subscribe to my youtube channel if you haven’t already.

DISCLAIMER:  In this video, I’m talking about a very small group of individuals that take this lifestyle to seriously that are bringing down girls who are new to this lifestyle. I’m not talking about the majority of the pinup/rockabilly community. I love everyone in the pinup/rockabilly community!

Behind the Scenes Teaser

Normally I never really show behind the scene pictures on here unless I really enjoyed the shoot. This last shoot I did I really enjoyed. It was a photographer named Hamayak Hakopian or “Hami” that I had shot with a lot in the past but hadn’t seen in a few years. We always kept in contact but with our schedules, it was hard to book a shoot. Finally a few weeks ago we did. We shot at Lumino Studios, where I did my pinup Valentine’s shoot, and our shoot took place in the Emerald Room of the studio house, perfect for me since that’s my birthstone.

I had such a nice time with him. He brought in an EXTREMELY TALENTED Hair Stylist who brought my curls to life named Elisa Lara who was such a darling. I donned a new emerald green corset, appropriate for where I was shooting, my swarovski crytal fishnet stockings and my 7 and a half tall dance stiletto booties with matching crystals. I felt absolutely beautiful in my burlesque wear.

Hami is such a sweet and very professional photographer and I enjoy our work relationship a lot. I’m so excited to see the actual shots from this shoot. In the meantime, I decided to give you all a little tease. Elisa took some behind the scene shots of me while I was getting photographed and I loved the look of them so much that I decided to post them here to get you all ready for the actual photoshoot images. Enjoy!

ASA KAFTANS

Every once in a while, I enjoy watching the Bravo show, “Shahs of Sunset,” and Asa is my favorite. Her family business is amazing and her taste in fashion is superb. I’ve been wanting to get one of her kaftans for awhile now and I’m so glad I finally got one. I bought the short POSITANO kaftan. I loved all the colors and that there was an animal print design element to it. Nordstrom sells her clothing but I wanted to get one off her official site. The prices are great for this clothing. It ranges because of the different lengths of the kaftans. The prices are especially great because of all the detailing she puts into her clothing from jewels to sequins and more. My birthstone is the Emerald so I donned all my Emerald jewelry with this look. I felt very luxurious!

Another reason I love Asa is because she is all about women empowerment, beauty, confidence, and positive body confidence.

Asa also sells beautiful and sexy accessories which I plan on getting soon. Besides all the stuff Asa sells, she is very sweet when I talk to her online. She is also the kindness and most spiritual woman I know on her show and one of the most spiritual ladies I’ve met online. I’m so glad I met her.

Definitely check out Asa Kaftans at asasoltan.com.

Thank you Asa for your friendship and fabulous clothing!

My Evening Outfit on Date Night

Two evenings ago my husband I had our date night. That included seeing the brand new “Stars Wars, the last Jedi,” which we loved. After the movie we went to one of our favorite sushi restaurants, “Ra.” It was a lot of fun and my husband wanted to take photos of my date outfit. I wore a black tank top with a lace heart on the back, new silver trousers, my 7 inch black sparkly heels, my fabulous tailored Calvin Klein blazer, and my sparkly rhinestone neck scarf that my husband bought years ago on the first vacation we ever went to which was New York City. I also donned my silver flower clip in my hair. It was a fun evening and I’m so grateful my husband helps and supports me when I need him too and that we get to work together a lot.

  • Hope you enjoy this date night look of mine and if you have any questions about the outfit or where I got things, leave it in a comment below. Thank you.

New Skin Tips and Tricks

Here are some new TIPS and TRICKS for SKIN CARE. Some of these may sound logical and some of these may be new tips that maybe you haven’t thought about before. I hope these help for you. Enjoy!

1. If you have oily skin, apply your favorite moisturizer to ONLY the super dry areas! There’s no need to slather your moisturizer all over, UNLESS your WHOLE face is super dry.

2.  I think I’ve said this before in past blog posts but definitely use a PURIFICATION MASK once a week.

3. I believe I mentioned this briefly in a blog vid long time ago but after washing your face at night, use a toner to get rid of any gunk, impurities, or any excess makeup that your face wash didn’t catch.

4. Buy blotting sheets, there aren’t usually super expensive and I’m found the cheapest ones and one of the best ones are in CVS. If your skin tends to be oily throughout the day or your makeup is starting to sweat off you, blotting sheets are your best friends instead of caking on more powder which can clog pores causing breakouts and can be unhygienic.

5. I’ve talked about this in the past and might do a demo on this, but you must clean you beauty blenders at least once a week. Same goes for brushes otherwise you are going to cause more bacteria into your skin which is gross.

6. If you use a primer that can double as a moisturizer, you don’t need to add extra moisturizer before apply your primer.

7. If you get your eyebrows waxed or threaded, exfoliate your brow area the night before because if you exfoliate after you get your brows coiffed and then exfoliate, you can a lot of redness and a possible infection.

8. Last but now least, here’s a quick way to remove your makeup in the evening or if you are rushing to an event and need to do a another makeup look, use gentle makeup wipes, like the burt’s bees cucumber remover wipes, which are my favorite, and use a gently toner to either get rid of any excess dirt or to rehydrate your face. If you want to keep your eye makeup on, just gently rehydrate  a few inches away from my eyes and make sure they are closed and fan them with your hands or a pretty fan so it dries before opening your peepers!

My ritual is to cleanse my face with my soy cleanser and then use a cotton pad, or the other way around, to gently remove eye makeup, tone my face, and redo my makeup cause you all know I love my makeup and doing different looks.

But if you don’t have time for that, for instance, if you are going from work to a dinner, the makeup removing wipes are your best bet.
