I’m starting my morning off watching Annabelle 2. There’s nothing like watching a horror movie while you’re drinking your first cup of coffee.

Sunday Morning Coffee Chat, Why Skincare is so IMPORTANT

Good morning everyone. It’s 8:08 am here and having my coffee out of my BRAND NEW “Fueled by Crystals and Coffee,” which is perfect and I’m so glad I found it because you all know I collect crystals and do crystal magic. I also am an avid coffee mug collector.

Today’s Sunday Morning Coffee Chat is important. You all know I have A LOT of beauty and makeup knowledge from learning things on my own, learning different products and their ingredients, working in cosmetics, etc, and it seems to me that the vast majority of younger girls and boys like teenagers/early 20’s care more about makeup than actually taking care of their skin. They don’t usually have a skincare routine, or won’t wash their makeup off before bed which is my BIGGEST MAKEUP PET PEEVE.

Here’s a perfect example, when I worked in cosmetics at Macy’s, there were two girls who one was 19 who wore so much makeup I thought she was 40 and the other girl was 20. Both of them are sweet girls, that I’m still in contact with and I’M DEFINITELY NOT BASHING THEM,  but they both always wore so much makeup to work, which makes sense because we are dealing with makeup and beauty, and one of them admitted to me she rarely ever washes her face before she goes to bed, not even with a makeup remover wipe which aren’t always the best at getting everything off either. I was very grossed out hearing that. After the two girls quit, they came into visit and neither of them had no makeup on at all and both of their faces had MASSIVE BREAKOUTS. The cause of that is mainly if not completely, not washing your face before bed and have a skincare routine. 

No matter your age, the sooner you get into a good skincare routine and learn basic skin issues like how to not cause breakouts, the better. My mom, who at 65 has beautiful skin with not botox or fillers, taught me at a very young age to always take care of my skin and if I had any breakouts, I knew how to clear them up fast because of how my mom taught me and those tips and tricks she shared with me, I still use to this day.

The last important thing about why you should always take care of your skin, which by the way, if you don’t know your skin type or don’t know how to take care of your skin, go to a dermatologist. There is nothing wrong with that, they are all over, and they don’t cost a lot to see. The last important thing is that the more your skin is fresh and clear and smooth, you won’t have to cake on the makeup as much if ever, and it will shorten your beauty routine and save your some money on makeup. Face makeup is to cover imperfections but if you don’t have any, why waste your time and money using it?

Good Early Morning

Normally when I write me good morning posts, I usually switch off between this site and my art site, but today I decided to post the same early tiny morning article at the same time so enjoy! XOXO

   It’s currently 4:55 AM and I couldn’t fall back asleep so I decided that I might as well get up, have my coffee and get some work done before starting my day. In the meantime, I want to wish everyone a wonderful day or evening depending on where you are in the world. It says it’s supposed to be cloudy with some rain but who knows? The weather seems to change almost daily.

  Do something nice for yourself today, even if it’s one of the simple pleasures we have like having a good cup of coffee.

Sunday Morning Coffee Chat

   Some of you know may not know that I collect coffee mugs. I’ve been buying unique and fun mugs for many years and I enjoy doing it.  With that said, I wanted to start today off with my Pink Octopus mug by wishing everyone a good morning and a wonderful week.

This morning’s topic I wanted to talk about is ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS!

   I also wanted to talk about a few things that I’ve never mentioned here before. I know that we all tend to have chaotic events and craziness in different parts of our lives that sometimes are too intense for us to deal which can cause MAJOR ANXIETY and/or PANIC ATTACKS.  That usually means that we need to give ourselves a break. The reason why I wanted to write about this is because I suffer from both of those things a lot of the time. I’m dealing with A LOT of craziness right now, mainly because I’m dealing with people in my family, health issues, and just stuff that is very overwhelming and causes my anxiety to kick in overdrive. For me personally, because everything seems crazier than usual I realized how important and healthy it is to take some time for yourself to decompress and get your mind clear of any chaos. I know it’s easier said than done but I myself am trying to be more positive and to not have my anxiety kick in when everything seems like it hits you at once. 

If you’re feeling that you need a break from the everyday craziness, stop what you’re doing, take deep breaths, close your eyes if you want, and breathe in and out slowly. While doing this, either clear your mind of any kind of negativity, and focus on your breath or think of things that make you feel happy. It may sound obvious and cheesy but it actually does help. Also because anxiety attacks can cause you to feel extra warm, drinking cold water or putting an ice pack on the back of your neck helps you and your body feel back to normal faster.

Oh and when I say that you should take a break, that doesn’t mean doing a bunch of other things besides what you were in the middle of. It’s better sometimes to just not do anything. Also if you don’t give yourself a break and time to yourself, you’ll end up feeling drained. Your body reacts to how you’re feeling emotionally which can cause you to make yourself sick or achy because you’re burning the candle at both ends without taking the time to care about your own well-being. You always need to take care of yourself first before anyone else. Usually If you don’t, you’re eventually going to blow up which is never a good thing. Whenever I feel that way, I drop what I’m doing if I can and sit or stand peacefully while taking slow deep breaths and try to find your “center or balance.” Again I know this sounds like the obvious but I’m talking about things that personally help me that can maybe help others.

Another huge reason why I wanted to touch on this area was not just because it’s what I’m going through, but because I know many people who have anxiety feel like they’re alone or they don’t want to tell anyone how they feel because they’re embarrassed or that there is a stigma about it. If you experience anxiety or anything like that, always remember that you’re not alone in this world.
