I’m so excited that today is the first day of October, my favorite month. Yesterday I already started decorating my house for Halloween which of course is my favorite holiday. My husband and I are going to the Halloween store today to see what new goodies we can find to add to our decoration collection, besides seeing all the cool costumes and accessories. I can’t wait to go. The pictures below are of a new decoration I bought last month of a skeleton bride and groom. When you turn it on, it lights up so beautifully with the purple lights.
I have a few bride and groom skeleton pieces including my bride and groom salt and pepper my awesome mom bought my husband and me years ago when we will first got engaged years ago. I can never have enough skulls and skeleton decor in my house. Below is another one of my awesome bride and groom skeleton pieces.
For those who don’t know this already about me, Autumn/Mabon is my absolute FAVORITE SEASON! I love seeing the different colors the leaves change and one day I plan on going to the east coast specifically to see the “changing of the leaves” over there.
I want to wish everyone happy October first and hope you all enjoy this fantastic month as much as I will!
Wishing all my sisters, family, and, supporters a brilliant Halloween!!!! Posting the rest of my photoshoot photos tomorrow so stay Tuned.
I found this awesome shirt from one of my favorite witch movies, “Hocus Pocus.” I remember seeing this movie in the theater when I was little, (Aww, memories,) and I still love it after all this time. Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker are hilarious as the notorious Sanderson sisters. It’s such a fun movie and is a definite “Must Watch,” for Halloween….although I enjoy it any time of the year. Because “Hocus Pocus” is such a Halloween classic, I had to post a photo of me wearing one of the most popular quotes from the film and showing my love for it, 23 years later.
Today I went to Disneyland and had such fun. All the Halloween decorations were so wonderful. Believe it or not, I had never been to Disneyland for Halloween, at least maybe not since I was really little. My husband and I went today because not only were we making plans to go but also it was one of my husband’s employee’s birthday. We started out having breakfast at the Carnation Cafe on Disney’s main street where my husband ate a frittata shaped like Mickey Mouse. Super cute.
After breakfast we started going on some rides. We started out at Indiana Jones followed by Pirates of Caribbean. After that, my man and I went straight to the Haunted Mansion, which of course was all decked in Halloween decoration, mixed with “Nightmare Before Xmas,” mixed with some of the original decor that you see all year round.
Even though my husband and I went last December where they had the “Nightmare Before Xmas,’ out in full force, the house and ride this time were completely different. Today they did a Halloween narrative about Jack Skellington, his journey, and the rest of film’s characters. It was exactly like the beginning of the movie and a Xmas bedtime story. Such a fun ride.
After Disneyland, we used our special passes for California Adventure, my first time going there as well. I grew up in California and never had a burning desire to go. I’d rather have spent more time at Disney in the past, but California Adventure was a lot of fun. Walking through, you feel like you’re on an old Hollywood movie set. The attractions were very cool.
Once we were done for the day, we picked up some awesome souveneirs back at Disneyland and ventured back to our car. All in all today was definitely a magical day and I’m glad I got to experience Disneyland during the Halloween season, and especially glad I got to share the day with my most wonderful man.
