My Morning Skincare Routine

I get compliments on my skin all the time and one of my nicknames is Snow White cause of my fair skin, black hair, and red lips. I recently met a very sweet woman walking near me in the mall and we chatted about our tattoos, how pushy some skin care vendors are and more. This sweet lady complimented me on my skin and look so I decided to share my skin care routine, Here is how I do my skincare in the morning. I decided to do a video on my youtube channel besides writing and posting here because I switch up my morning routine.

The products that I use are just suggestions to inspire you and what works can possibly work for you since these products and brands work for me. I hope this inspires you and enjoy. Updated Beauty Regimen

Hey everyone, hope you all had a happy thanksgiving last Thursday. I know awhile ago I posted about my beauty routine and my favorite skin products but since then, I’ve updated my list of favorite skin products. Not to say that the ones I post before are horrible now but I’ve found better products for my skin and body. If you like the ones you already use, great, but these products seem to work a bit better. Here we go:

fullsizerender-15

  1. Glam Glow DreamDuo, Overnight Transforming Treatment- I first heard about this mask from a friend of mine and was definitely excited to try it. It’s a wonderful overnight treatment that adds collagen and keeps your face smooth leaving it with a glowing radiance to your skin in the morning.. I noticed to my skin right away.

2. LUSH-Luxory Pud Bath Bomb-If you personally know me and/or have read my past blogs in the past here, you know how much I love LUSH products, especially the bath bombs. A few weeks ago I went into the store to check out the new bombs for the holidays and I found this amazing smelling bomb. It’s the Lush Luxury Pud Bath Bomb, and it’s definitely one of my new favorite bombs. It works wonderfully in the tub, softening the skin, smelling divine, and the rainbow colors look beautiful in the water.

3. LUSH ROSE JAM SHOWER GEL- You guys remember my blog post about how much I love the ROSE BODY CONDITIONER but I was so excited LUSH had this in the store finally. They bring it out for the holidays and it smells exactly like the ROSE conditioner. I love washing my self with this delicious body wash and another great thing is it that it lasts for a while.  But in case, I’ll probably buy another bottle of this for me.

4. Garnier Skin Active, Micellar Cleansing Water- This makeup remover was suggested to me by another girlfriend Brit, when I couldn’t find my Sephora makeup remover cleansing water at any store but this Garnier Cleansing Water is even better than the Sephora remover. I love it. It’s an All-In- Water makeup remover that also cleanses and refreshes the skin. It’s also alcohol free which is a plus for me. A huge recommendation for this remover.

5.  Thayers Natural Remedies, WITCH HAZEL , ALOE VERA FORMULA, Alcohol free Toner with ROSE PETALS- This is by far my favorite toner, even better than Benefits.  it’s alcohol free with witch hazel, which I love and is a natural herbal remedy. It also has amazing Rose Petal which is my favorite herb.  This toner also contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin E will make your skin bloom and soft. Besides Thayers being alcohol-free, it’s also  paraben-free, naturally preserved, and most important hypoallergenic.  Again it’s made with organic witch hazel, aloe vera, and Natural rose fragrance.  This amazing Toner Cleanses, soothes and tones skin without drying your skin out.

I feel this is the best toner because it’s all natural ingredients  which is the best thing for your skin.

New Beauty Faves

I’ve been wanting to do this post for a few weeks and finally getting a moment to write before work this morning and drinking coffee in my Pink Octopus Mug. Some of these products I just purchased recently and some I have been using for awhile and hadn’t had time to post them right away.

1. BEAUTY BLENDER- Of course this is an ingenious product and have stocked up on a few pretty pink ones. I also got yesterday for free, a flat egg shaped blotter to blot shine throughout the day which is great and better for your skin instead of caking on powder every time you have to touch up your shine. If you don’t know how to use the beauty blender just pour some water on it and squeeze it out until it is damp and it expands. Once you’re ready to put on your foundation or over makeup just use your damp blender to blend your makeup flawlessly. IMG_0321

2.  ORIGINS Ginseng Eye Cream- I just started using this and I absolutely love it and have already noticed a difference under my eyes. This cream has a Ginseng and a little caffeine to make your eyes brighter and get rid of and dark circles or any puffiness you may have in the morning.

3. Porefessional Matte Rescue- I am a HUGE fan of Benefit Cosmetics and have tried their different primers but this one and the PORE PROFESSIONAL are my two best. I’ve used pore professional for a long time and use it for traveling but this new pore benefit primer is wonderful. Your rub it on you skin, (with clean hands of course,) and you feel the tingly refreshing gel to your clean skin. I also love it that it is a Matte primer and the best is to put it on your clean skin, wait ten minutes, then apply makeup.

4. KAT VON D TATTOO LINER IN TROOPER- I’m very picky about using liquid eye liner. I have been using Laura Mercier cake liner for years but discovered a liquid liner pen that I use almost every day. I even layer it on my cake liner sometimes depending on my eye look for that day. I first tried Kat Von D’s liner last month and love it. I love the felt tip pen that always stays sharp every time I apply it which is very important to me. The pen tip is the best at giving a clean eye look and doing the perfect “CAT EYES!”

5. MAC LIP BRUSH- I really like how this brush is retractable and always keeps it shape when applying lipstick.          * Here’s a great tip, take your lip brush and lipstick and get plenty of the lip color on your lip brush. When you’re out and need to reapply your lipstick, all you need is your lip brush. Leave the tube of lipstick at home.

6. LUSH MASK OF MAGNAMITY, face and body mask- This is my new favorite mask because you can use it both on your face and on your body if you ever have any red bumps or blemishes and it clears them up right away. I use this mask at least once or twice a week. I mix it up with my black charcoal sugar scrub.

7. RO’S ARGAN BODY CONDITIONER- Another LUSH product that  I love. I’ve been using this for about 2 months now and can’t get enough of this stuff. This is used the same way you would you a hair conditioner. You slather it on your body, let it seep in for a few minutes, then rinse your body off. At first I wasn’t sure about this product because I thought it would be greasy but it’s the very opposite. It leaves your skin super soft and smelling yummy and you don’t need to apply another moisturizer after your bath or shower if you don’t want to. Play with this conditioner to see how you like to use it.    *Another tip is to when in the bath, apply this conditioner to your legs before shaving. It’ll leave them baby soft.

Cotton Candy Bath Bomb

cottoncandy

The other bath bomb I’ve recently tried from LUSH cosmetics is “Cotton Candy.” I love actual cotton candy and enjoy the sugary smell of it so I definitely was curious to try this bomb. The moment I dropped the ball into my tub and saw the gorgeous pink and blue colors creating swirls in the water like a Van Gogh painting, I immediately fell in love with it.

First of all, this bomb smells EXACTLY like real cotton candy so the name truly does suit it, and is neither under or over-powering. It’s a perfect balance. It also looks like a large cotton candy ice cream scoop from Cold stone. It contains epsom salts,  fragrance oil, olive oil, shea butter, and witch hazel, all of which is great for your skin especially keeping it nice and soft.

Like the other bombs, it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and smelling delicious. Besides “Sex Bomb,” “Cotton Candy” is definitely my favorite bomb from LUSH. I definitely recommend  this yummy product.

Sex Bomb Bath Bomb by LUSH

SexbombI’ve heard of how wonderful LUSH products are and always enjoy checking out the shop but haven’t bought a lot of products from them in the past. Not until now. I usually make my own bath products but a few weeks ago, one of my friends told and recommended me about a LUSH  fizzy bath ball called, “Sex Bomb,” which happens to also be a great “Lords of Acid,” song and I definitely wanted to try it. I bought one and one evening last week after a long day at work, I drew myself a bath and tried it. I absolutely loved it! I take baths all the time and this sex bomb ball was amazing.

The look of the ball is so beautiful. I love how all the bath bombs look like ice cream scoops. It’s a gradation of pink and lavender colors with a lovely rose in the center and has an amazing scent of scintillating jasmine, clary sage and ylang ylang which are powerful aphrodisiacs that have wonderful relaxation powers. This bath bomb also has soya milk makes the water milky, softening your entire body.

The best way to use this bomb is to add to your running bath water the moment you turn it on and watch how it dissolves slowly and makes your water a beautiful rainbow of colors releasing the scents but won’t stain your tub.

This is a definitely must-have for a romantic evening and/or to put you in a romantic mood. I loved the Sex Bomb bomb so much, I immediately bought more of it. I definitely understand why this is Lush’s best selling Bath Bombs.
