I’ve been wanting to feature the beautiful and amazing Rhonda Burnett for awhile and today is finally the day. I’ve known Rhonda for over three years and I refer to as my “Big Sister,” because she is just that. She is very nurturing, giving, and one of the kindest and strongest women I know. She also loves Halloween, the horror genre, and all things spooky as much as I do which is never a bad thing.

Besides all the sweet qualities Rhonda has, she has the most amazing and sickest tattoos I’ve ever seen. She loves horror, especially Tim Burton and a lot of her ink are Burton characters which I absolutely am in love with. You can’t go wrong with Tim Burton in my opinion.

She had a lot of ink done when I first met her and has gotten a lot more done since I’ve known her and I must say that all of her tattoos are well thought out as to where she wants them and what exactly she wants done. I love her attention to detail. Rhonda’s ink is so amazing that she has won awards for it and has been published in magazines which you can see below. Even her references are very specific to her style and don’t look like anyone else’s. Check out these photos and clips of her spectacular tattoos!

Here is a little background how the gorgeous Rhonda fell in love with the horror genre and specifically Tim Burton films.

“When I was 5 my uncle Tom got me into classic horror films… My first one was Frankenstein. I called him Frankie because I couldn’t say Frankenstein… And it took off from there. I’ve been into horror every sense. I rented the movie The nightmare before Christmas for my sons and I to watch and fell in love with it.. From that point on I got into Tim Burton films.  I got my first sleeve of the nightmare before Christmas movie on my right arm which took about 5 months to complete. Then I went on to get more tattoos of some of my favorite Tim burton movies, like Beetlejuice and Lydia, Edward Scissorhands and Frankenweenie I eventually got a recent portrait of Tim Burton on my leg… I thought to myself I love his movies and him so much I thought I need a tattoo of him on me. So I that was the last tattoo I got. 3 of my tattoos have won numerous awards. I’ll send pictures when I get them all gathered.

I really like to dress up during the month of October into some of my favorite characters. My Edward Scissorhands tattoo was featured in Inc skin magazine as well as my Nightmare Before Christmas sleeve.”   -Rhonda

Besides all the sisterly qualities she has that I mentioned above, Rhonda is also extremely artistic and can do her makeup to completely change her look and can make herself look like she stepped out of the movies which I absolutely love. I can’t get over her makeup skills and talent and if her and I lived closer together, we’d be doing our makeup together every day. Below are just some of the many looks she has created. It’s just a tiny taste. If I could I would post a lot more of her photos than I already have. I love showcasing other people’s talent and art, especially when it’s someone that I really love.

I really admire Rhonda. She has such a kind and beautiful soul and is all about working hard and family which she loves more than anything else which is so beautiful. She also supports her friends and the work that they do, including myself and my art which I greatly appreciate. I also appreciate how much she loves Halloween, the horror genre, and all things spooky which is never a bad thing.

Spooky Inspiration

Since I did a post on horror style and fashion yesterday I thought today’s post would be perfect. Today my man and I went to Disneyland which is my favorite theme park. I’ve been going there since I was three. I remember going during Christmas time and seeing the beautiful decorations and just having so much fun. But after Tim Burton’s, “Nightmare Before Christmas,” came out, I never got to see the Haunted Mansion, my favorite ride of Disneyland decorated for Christmas and have always wanted to see it. I’ve been to the park a million times but never during that holiday season. Well today I finally got to see the Mansion decorated and done up with Jack, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and the rest of the cast of Nightmare Before Christmas. My man surprised me with this trip and we ended up going through the haunted mansion twice. It was so much fun. The Haunted Mansion is always fun for me but this was magical because it was something new I had never experienced before.  jackskull pumpkinqueen                                                        hauntedmanionentrance hauntedmansionsign clock

I took many photos, not just because of the cool decorations they did to the mansion but because the colors and patterns they used and the architecture of the building inspired me in my personal style. I was already wearing my Jack Skellington sweater and Jack and Sally, “Love never dies,” shirt but I found my self more inspired.

**The bonus part was that there were two amazing characters dressed up like Jack and Sally and were so beautiful in the way they looked and spoke.  I got my photo taken of them and hugged them and felt so happy.                                               IMG_2839

Today was a good day!
