This was my second year of going to Rupaul Dragcon LA and I had even more fun than I did last year. My amazing husband and I went together again and decided to do it VIP style. Besides our VIP passes, we stayed overnight in a hotel near the convention so we didn’t have to drive back and forth and could go and relax in hotel robes, room service, and a yummy breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. The best part of the hotel was the COFFIN-SHAPED POOL! I couldn’t believe it. My husband picked the hotel without knowing that and the super kind concierge gave me her hotel pin with the coffin pool on it which was so sweet. My man and I definitely love our horror.
I spent my entire time at Dragcon in sequins which was fabulous. I took so many photos, met so many wonderful people, took a lot of video footage, (which you can see on my youtube channel,) and a lot more. That’s why I decided to do this article into two parts cause I really had to go through my photos to post which ones were my favorite which was hard because I loved them all. All the queens were stunning and definitely were a huge inspiration to me in terms of confidence, new fashion style, creativity, and so much more. I hope you enjoy!
Below is the gorgeous “OLD CLASSIC HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR” queen, Scarlet Envy! Her and I talked burlesque, old movie stars such as Ann Margaret, and performing. She’s so gorgeous.
Next is the incredible and hilarious Trixie Mattel! I didn’t get to meet Trixie last year because I didn’t have a VIP ticket and it was a four hour wait to see her. Since Trixie is definitely one of my all time favorite drag queens, I had to see her on day one. She was so funny and sweet and loved that I was wearing her Sugarpill Trixie lipstick. She was also selling her brand new cosmetic line so I definitely stocked up, (which I will be talking about and reviewing on my youtube channel soon.) Her set up was awesome and took a photo with my husband also. Trixie also appreciated me wearing her custom tank top and hater’s roast sunglasses so that definitely made me feel extra good.
Next is the “People’s Drag Queen,” the famous Latrice Royale. I was so happy to meet her and her husband. They are such a cute couple. Also the space “Star Wars” theme was so very cool and she looked exquisite and was so kind.
The last queen below is Trinity (the Tuck) Taylor. Oh my god she is beautiful. She was set up in a beautiful spring floral fantasy. I must admit, I was nervous because she is such a fierce queen and performer and had just won All Stars 4 but she was incredibly sweet. She let me hold her heavy diamond scepter from her winning and her boyfriend took our picture. They are another super cute couple.
The first day at Dragcon was so much fun and I met so many folks there including this cute couple who were two gorgeous girls who I became mom too which I’ll talk more about in part 2.
Well Sugarpill has done it again. They’ve come out with a new makeup line that I was incredibly excited to get and when I did, it was fabulous! Yes I’m talking about Sugarpill’s “Oh Honey” palette created by one of my all-time favorite drag queens and talented singer/songwriter, Trixie Mattel.
You all know that I have loved Sugarpill for a long time, but one of the reasons why I do, which you may not know, is because of all the love and support they give drag queens and the LGBTAQ community. When I was at DragCon this year, I knew they would be one of the top booths I would see. They appreciate the beautiful art of drag and have worked with some of the fiercest queens besides Trixie such as Kim Chi, Ongina, and Laganga Estranja just to name a few. If you check out Sugarpill’s youtube channel, you can see tutorials that some of the queens have done which is very cool. Also if you have never seen any of of Trixie’s shows or don’t know anything about her, stop reading this right now, and go google her and watch her be absolutely hilarious and brilliant.
Now let’s talk about the brand new limited edition “Oh Honey” collection by my girl Ms. Trixie Mattel. First of all, the packaging is so adorable and screams Barbie doll and Trixie Mattel. It’s called “Oh Honey” as almost an inside joke that she says in her shows as well as her t.v and youtube show that she did with fellow draq queen and friend, Katya. Trixie loves Barbie, hence her last name being Mattel, and uses Barbie and the whole concept of Barbie as a huge reference and inspiration. Trixie is also extremely intelligent and knows the whole history of the Barbie doll. The eye shadow palette is a six pan palette that consists of three matte shadows, two frosted shadows, and one metallic shadow. They are all beautiful and they look beautiful on, even the frosted shadows which I’m usually very picky about. The eyeshadows are in the natural range so they are easy to wear on an every day basis. All the makeup names are in one way or another reference to Trixie or they have been mentioned in her acts or shows. Here are the names and descriptions of the eye shadows:
Oh Honey – (frosted shade) Pale Honey
Sidesaddle – (matte shade) Rich Camel color
Ponyboy – (matte shade) Deep Chocolate color
Dolly – (frosted) Champagne Pink color
All Star – (metallic shade) Duo-chrome Rose Gold color
Romy – (matte shade) Cinnamon Brown Color, (which by the way is the color of Romy White’s chunky lowlights from “Romy and Michelle’s Highschool Reunion, which was filmed at my high school. Just a little fun fact.)
The “Oh Honey” palette also comes with it’s own blush which is the first blush from Sugarpill Cosmetics. It’s called, “Life Size” which is appropriate because the pan is very large and is a beautiful matte watermelon color which I’ve been wearing almost every day. The long lasting liquid lipstick that comes with the “Oh Honey” makeup is called, “Barbara” which has the scent of a honey-suckle and is Barbie pink with rose-gold sparkles in Sugarpill’s famous matte to sparkle liquid lipstick formula that sparkles more the longer you wear it.
The minute I heard Trixie Mattel was coming out with her own collection, I shrieked with joy. Before Trixie became a drag queen, he was Brian Michael Firkus a talented makeup artist, so he knows a lot about makeup, how to apply it, and can create different looks. He’s very talented in many ways. I definitely recommend checking out this palette, not just because it’s Trixie’s or it’s from Sugarpill Cosmetics, but because it’s also colors that you can wear every day, even if you’re not a “makeup person” or super adventurous when it comes to makeup. The shadows are also easily blendable. The blush is the perfect shade and the lipstick is so beautiful. Remember this collection is limited edition and if it’s sold out still, place your order with them as soon as possible so you’ll be the first one to get it, when it’s back in stock.
A tank top and jeans is always a cute go to, especially during the summer time but I like to add a little extra flare to this look. I rolled and cuffed up my jeans like any good rockabilly gal and wanted to be pretty in pink in my cute barbie pink heart Trixie Mattel tank top. If your tank is a little big, pair it with a pretty lacy bra or thin camisole (that will still keep you cool) to give a little sexy but tasteful edge. It also dresses up the outfit a bit more as well do some big high heels or stilettos. I sported my new pair of HUGE flamingo pink and green- jeweled cat-eyed sunglasses. I love them and they are so fun as well as protect my peepers from the sun.
To give your look more glamour, wear some beautiful jewelry with it. Here I wore a beautiful shell heart bracelet to go with my hearts on my top and my finishing touch were some beautiful pearl drop, vintage-inspired chandelier earrings that I just got as a gift from my girl Kirsty Giuliani that she made. Thank you girlie, I am I love with them!
Good Morning fabulous friends and followers. I’m up early to get ready for a fun day at Universal Studios Hollywood. I’m going with my husband of course and two of my best friends and darling couple, Kirsty and Jordan Giuliani. I’ve written about them before as well as working with Jordan in front of and behind the camera lens.
Since I’m going to a theme park today, I’m bringing one of my small purses with me that is decorated with some of my fun brooches and pins and wanted to show them off. Since we talk a lot about fashion, style, and adding your own personal touches and uniqueness to your looks, I thought it was fitting to show off some of my pins from my collections. Brooches and pins are a real easy way to personalize your stuff and add a little extra pizazz to your outfit. I love putting them on coats, handbags (the non-expensive handbags of course), top and bottom pieces, and more. If you are a creative person, you can make your own and find supplies at places like Michael’s or if you don’t want to do that, you can find really cool pins at many places as well as online. I love collecting them from concerts, events, (such as drag con) amusement parks, etc. I love finding vintage inspired brooches and also collecting fancier ones with Swarovski crystals and jewels. (Since I’ll be at a theme park all day, I think I’ll leave my more rare and expensive pieces at home.) I think that pins and brooches are extra special also when they are handmade.
They are just a fun and easy way to spice up your wardrobe and life. Here are the ones that I’m wearing today with my very appropriate Classic Hollywood Universal Monster cross body purse. I also included where I got this group of pins as well so you can check them out.

I definitely wanted to do a post just on my goodies that I got at Drag Con from my that was separate from my main article on my experience at the convention. Here they are and I hope you enjoy! I thought this was a fun post to do!
First drag merchandise I got is my fabulous Alyssa Edwards pin with her tongue pop and one of her famous sayings, “BackRolls.” I had to have that pin and it makes me laugh every time I see it.
I loved meeting Michelle Visage as you read in my previous post on my time at Drag Con and this is the ring she gave me that she actually wore on RuPaul’s Drag Race! I love you Michelle and thank you!
I bought these two fans, one that says “Oh Honey” and the other one says, “Thwoorp.” I got these two for twenty five bucks which was a fantastic deal. I chose these two particular fans to represent Trixie Mattel and Katya on their youtube show because Trixie is known for saying “Oh Honey,” and Katya is known for her hot fan flipping and saying “Thwoorp.”
Also for my Katya merchandise since she is one of my all time favorite queens, here are my tank top and shorts which I was so excited to find!
As you know Ben Dela Creme is my burlesque drag sister and I love her and her whole style. Here are my merchandise from her. It’s a shirt that I love wearing, a candle that was handmade, and of course a sparkly gorgeous autographed photo!
Here are my merch from the fabulous Neon DETOX! The shirt I had to have because it’s a horror glam Bride of Frankenstein LIMITED EDITION shirt. I love wearing it with my Kreepsville666 glow in the dark Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein leggings. The tote bag cracked me and I had to have it!
My mom actually ordered this for me before I attended which tells you that she is the coolest mom. I met Alaska briefly and bought one of her shirts for one of my best friends but I thought my little drag queen POP Alaska doll was the cutest!
I also bought one of my best friends up north a Shangela shirt since she’s her top fave queen of my friend. The quotes on the shirt is iconic from season 3 of Rupaul’s Drag Race.
Here’s my stunningly gorgeous autographed photo from Chad Michaels who if you read my first post on my experience at Drag Con, you’ll know what I think of her. The most professional queen I’ve ever met. Thank you Chad aka Cher!
Last but not least, here’s my autographed photo from on of my favorite queens, the famous and funny Bianca Del Rio. Glad I got to meet her, especially after seeing one of her shows a month before and here is my copy of her new book which is hysterical and I definitely recommend reading.
Thank you for reading and checking out all my drag queen merchandise. Like I said above, I thought this would be a fun post!
