Double SNOW WHITE Tutorial, Part 2

I decided to amp up my Snow White tutorial. Like in part one of my Snow White tutorial, since I’m a witch, I countered the evil queen/old with poison apple spell and I survived. Because of that, I added a few more steps to part one of my Snow White tutorial. I didn’t redo my entire face, I just added a few more fun steps and did a quick video at the end. Enjoy!

Facetune_22-12-2019-06-29-59

For my eyes, I used my brand new Jolie Beauty Lash Lock glue, which I love, and applied “Carol Anne” from Trixie Cosmetics to the upper and lower inner corner of my eyes over my “Tako” shadow. After that, I used the glue again to apply “Slime Time” from Trixie Cosmetics on the upper eye lids right above my eyeliner all the way to the end. I did the same thing with “Slime Time” under the eye as well. Once I fanned the glitter dry, I re applied a thicker layer of my cake liner and then applied my mascara to my bottom lashes.

I wanted to amp up my Snow White look but not so much where I don’t look like her anymore.

Since I didn’t have any highlighter on obviously because Snow White didn’t wear highlighter, I decided to use my sparkly beautiful “Candy Apply Drip” Supreme Frost highlighter from Jeffree Star Cosmetics. I mean could it have been a more perfect name and color for this look?

I wanted to pump up my ruby red lips up a bit so I applied the luscious E.L.F Cosmetics, Jelly Pop, juicy gloss in, “Cherry Pop” to just the center of my lips.

I’m very pleased how this second part of my Snow White makeup tutorial look turned out. It was really fun and I had been wanting to do this look for awhile. I hope you all enjoy this and try either of these looks out for yourself.

XOXO, Carlie

OH AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Celebrating the last Happy Full Moon of 2019

december-cold-moon-COLDMOON1219

It’s the last Full Moon of 2019 and is known as the long “COLD MOON,” or the “LONG NIGHT’S MOON.” I have my altar set up yesterday to start the Full Moon energy and will be charging and dedicating some of my new crystals, do a card and crystal ball reading, add more notes to my grimoire, and just celebrate the Goddess because tonight is her night.

Blessed Be to all my fellow Witches and how will you be celebrating the Full Moon?

XoXo Carlie

P.S: TOMORROW IS THE LAST FRIDAY THE 13TH OF THE YEAR AND THEN US WITCHES HAVE OUR HOLIDAY, “YULE,” TO CELEBRATE THE BEGINNING OF WINTER

HAPPY 2019!!!

Good morning to all my friends and fellow art lovers. I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year’s Eve last night and that you made your resolutions.  I definitely made my resolutions but one of my big ones is to be more positive in about the things that are going on in my life. I don’t want my positive thoughts and the good and happy things that are happening in my life be tainted by anxiety, panic, or worrying, which some of you know, I struggle with sometimes.

My worrying and anxiety has definitely gotten a lot better according to my family but every once in a while it still happens. I just know how to deal with it better which I’m grateful for and in this new year of 2019, there’s going to be a lot of positivity and good things going on which I’m very excited for.

What did everyone do for New Year’s last night? What are your plans for today? I enjoy hearing from all of you. If you feel like sharing any resolutions definitely do so below. Whatever you all do, I hope you have a wonderful start to 2019! Have an absolutely wonderful New Year!

Best Moisturizers, Lotions, and Facial Masks for Winter

I love the winter time except for one thing what it does to me skin. It definitely can be drying to the skin, and I don’t have dry skin normally. These are the best moisturizers that I love using for winter. Some of these I’ve mentioned in past beauty reviews but I added some new ones. These all work wonderfully for you if you have very dry skin during this cold season.

   MASKS:

Blue Glamglow Thirstymud hydrating treatment: This stuff is amazing, especially if you have very dry skin. You just place a good layer amount, let it soak in for about 5 to 10 minutes and then either rince or rub the excess product in which is what I do.

Glamglow Flasmud brightening treatment:  If you skin tends to be extremely dull or dry this time of the year, definitely try this brightening mask on. It has a scrub in it to get rid of the yucky dead skin while brightening your complexion one warning thought, after you remove the scrub, you must wear a sunscreen, even its cold out because it will protect your skin from pollutants and any chemical looking burns. I’ve never had any trouble with this priduct.

   Facial Moisturizers:

Well my favorite face moisturizer is obviously the Soap & Glory Moisturizer with the Beauty and Sleep Accelerator. I’ve talked about how amazing this product is and it’s perfect for winter, especially if you’re traveling.

MAC Complete Comfort Cream: I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this cream in the past but it’s a perfect cream for winter. I use it a lot this time of the year and I recommend it. MAC also has a Studio Moisture Cream that is good but the comfort cream is better.

Eye Creams:

The best hydrating eye cream that I’ve tried and have used for awhile is the Rose Hydrating gel eye cream by FRESH!

Another great eye cream that is moisturizing and gets rid of puffy eyes is the Soap & Glory Puffy Attack-Turbo-boost hydragel.

   Body Lotion:

I normally stick to my my HEMP lotion, which is amazing but when my legs are extremely dry and the HEMP isn’t working the best, I grab my huge jar of the Soap & Glory, Moisture Extreme, body moisturizer. This stuff is the best and helps the dead skin become softer on the bottom of your feet.

Hope these moisturizers, tips and tricks work for you! Leave a comment below if you’ve tried any of these products, are using them, or just have a question.

Celebrating Yule/Winter Solstice

IMG_8276

Today is the first day of Yule which represents the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice and I really enjoyed celebrating today. I decorated for this season and holiday and am spending the evening with the love of my life. He is always so supportive of everything I do.

In case you’re wondering, some of the more traditional decorations for Yule include burning a Yule log, pinecones and nuts, candles (especially in the colors of gold, silver, green, and red, and more. Like I said in my previous Yule post from this morning, the holiday starts today and goes until New Year’s Day so decorate for the changing of the season if you desire. It doesn’t matter if you practice Wicca or not. You are free to celebrate anything you like!

Here are some of my decor from today. It’s simple but beautiful. Leave a comment if you decorate for Yule of have any questions or ideas. Sending lots of love and Happy Holidays to you all!

Sunday Morning Coffee Chat: Winter Holiday Traditions

IMG_8259

This Sunday morning’s coffee chat is all about winter and holiday traditions. I love traditions and think that they are important to have. I titled this chat article “winter and holiday traditions” because that is the time of year we are in and this is when a lot of traditions happen. Having said that, having certain rituals and traditions don’t necessarily have anything to do with religion. People do have specific things they do for their religion every year but you shouldn’t feel that you can’t enjoy your own traditions if don’t celebrate a certain holiday or are more spiritual than religious. Even if you’re not, you still can have your own rituals and traditions that you can enjoy this time of the year. You already have certain traditions that you may not even be aware of such as eating at the same restaurant for your birthday every year, or traveling to the same place during the off season every year.

I think having family traditions is very important. For me, it gives me a great sense of comfort especially if I’m going through stressful or hard times in my life. I grew up with certain traditions from my parents and it’s something that I want to enjoy continuing in my life and can hopefully one day pass them on to my own family. What are some of the traditions you grew up with? What are some good memories that they gave you? If you didn’t grow up having a lot of warm memories or traditions for whatever reason, don’t let that discourage you. Start your own! Create your own rituals and traditions that make you happy that you can do every year. The most important thing is being happy!

Even though I’m into scary horror and sensual burlesque and make crazy art, I’m very wholesome in the sense of having traditions, especially family holiday ones. For the winter holiday season I definitely have my fun and comforting things that I do every year. Here are my main traditions that I do the same time every year. Of course, I light my menorah for the eight nights of Hanukkah, spin dreidels, and open a present each night with my hubby. I also celebrate Yule which is the Winter Solstice. After doing these, there are also a few other things that we do every year.

One major tradition that I do with my husband every year is the two of us wearing our Hanukkah sweaters, (which you saw in my previous Hanukkah post), get into the car, stop at a coffee shop to grab a holiday coffee drink or hot cocoa, and drive around looking at the Christmas lights and decorations on the houses. I also love looking at the decorated trees that are displayed in the windows. Even though I don’t celebrate Christmas, I always went light looking with my parents and brother and it’s still something I love doing and will always love doing that. My husband and I actual went last night and did that and had so much fun.

One of my other fun holiday traditions is that I HAVE TO WATCH certain seasonal holiday films each year. And I have to watch them with certain people. For example, my husband is allowed to choose pretty much any movie for us to watch as long as we watch, “Muppets Christmas Carol,” “Elf,” and of course, “Krampus.” Those are a must.

Now again even though my family doesn’t celebrate Christmas, on Christmas Eve day, I go to my folks and stay over for Christmas day. During that time, my mom and I order a fabulous charcuterie tray, have champagne, and watch, “Love Actually,” “Meet me in St. Louis,” and “Frozen.”

Those are my fun wholesome winter holiday traditions. What are some of your traditions and fun things you enjoy doing during this time of the year? I’d love to know. Whatever you all do, I hope you all have a beautiful winter and a wonderful holiday season!

Holiday Gifts From Annabel Lee

You first heard me talk about Alexandra Walden who runs the awesome blog and newsletter, http://www.meandannabellee.com/ in October. She introduced me to the Samhain Society which I wrote about here as well. If you haven’t read my post about what the Samhain Society is, definitely go check it out, but in a nutshell, the Samhain Society is a society of bloggers and website creators that love all things spooky like me, and write a lot about horror and gothic subjects. Even though not all my articles and posts here are spooky/horror related, I do write a lot of that topic and everyone who follows me here, my art site, and all my social media know that I LOVE CREATING SPOOKY DARK WORKS OF ART AND AM A HORROR LOVING WHORE!

Besides Alexandra’s newsletter and blog, she also has an etsy shop where she makes and sells really cute gothic home-making items. For the holiday season, I recently purchased two items from her. The first thing I bought was a gift for my husband. He loves having his tea so I bought him a handmade BLACK BUTTERFLY TERRARIUM CAMEO TEA BALL INFUSER which he absolutely loved and will definitely use a lot.

The other item I bought from her was a gift for myself. I got a Victorian Gothic Tea Cup Candle with a yummy currant scent. I bought the last Alice in Wonderland yellow and white striped cup and saucer which I was very excited about. All the Victorian cup and saucer candles are gorgeous and it was very hard for me to pick which one I wanted but when I saw the Alice in Wonderland one with the detachable saucer and that it was the last one, I immediately purchased it….and I’m very glad I did.

If you are looking for some holiday gift ideas for your spooky or gothic loving friends or for yourself, definitely check out Alexandra’s etsy shop called, MeandAnnabelLeeShop.
