Celebrating Yule/Winter Solstice

IMG_8276

Today is the first day of Yule which represents the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice and I really enjoyed celebrating today. I decorated for this season and holiday and am spending the evening with the love of my life. He is always so supportive of everything I do.

In case you’re wondering, some of the more traditional decorations for Yule include burning a Yule log, pinecones and nuts, candles (especially in the colors of gold, silver, green, and red, and more. Like I said in my previous Yule post from this morning, the holiday starts today and goes until New Year’s Day so decorate for the changing of the season if you desire. It doesn’t matter if you practice Wicca or not. You are free to celebrate anything you like!

Here are some of my decor from today. It’s simple but beautiful. Leave a comment if you decorate for Yule of have any questions or ideas. Sending lots of love and Happy Holidays to you all!

Happy Yule!

Good Morning everyone and HAPPY YULE! Yule is the Winter Solstice and today, the 21st, is the shortest day of the year. Yule starts today officially and the holiday will end on New Year’s Day. My girlfriend Suzy Owen who I’ve mentioned in the past and did a feature on is from New Zealand and is celebrating the Spring Solstice today. I plan on posting more pictures of my Yule decorations later on this evening but wanted to wish you all a Happy Winter Solstice. Enjoy the day!
